RETURN, REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Last Updated: 21 August 2026
Thank you for shopping with SDMAX.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains how returns, refunds, exchanges and cancellations work when you purchase products from https://sdmax.co.uk.
This policy applies to purchases made through our website and should be read alongside your rights under applicable UK consumer law.
Nothing in this policy affects or limits your statutory rights as a consumer. Where your legal rights provide a greater protection than this policy, your statutory rights will apply.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to SDMAX. "You" and "your" refer to the customer.
2. YOUR LEGAL RIGHT TO CANCEL AN ONLINE ORDER
If you are a consumer purchasing goods from us online, you generally have a legal right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
You normally have 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel your order. You do not need to give a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 calendar days to return the goods to us.
You can cancel by contacting us by email at:
Please include your order number and clearly state that you wish to cancel your order.
You may use our contact details to notify us of cancellation; you do not have to use a particular form.
3. CONDITION OF RETURNED GOODS
When exercising your statutory cancellation right, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
You may handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality, in a similar way to how you would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop.
If the goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them and their value has consequently been reduced, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund to reflect that loss in value, where permitted by law.
Where possible, please return products with their original packaging, labels and accessories.
However, a customer's statutory rights are not lost simply because original packaging or labels are unavailable, where the law provides otherwise.
4. RETURN POSTAGE
For a change-of-mind cancellation, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us unless:
the goods are faulty;
the goods were not as described;
we sent you the wrong item;
we have agreed to pay the return costs; or
applicable law requires us to pay the return costs.
We recommend obtaining proof of postage when returning an item.
We are not responsible for returned goods that are lost in transit where you cannot provide evidence that they were sent back.
5. REFUNDS FOR CANCELLED ORDERS
If you validly cancel your online order, we will refund the payments we have received from you in accordance with applicable law.
This normally includes the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are only required to refund the amount equivalent to the least expensive standard delivery option we offered.
We will normally issue the refund within 14 days of the earliest of:
the day we receive the returned goods; or
the day you provide evidence that the goods have been returned,
subject to the requirements of applicable law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
We will not charge you a fee for processing a refund.
6. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS
Your statutory rights apply if goods are:
faulty or defective;
not of satisfactory quality;
not fit for their intended purpose;
not as described;
the wrong item; or
otherwise not in conformity with the contract.
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, defective, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at info@sdmax.co.uk.
Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs or other information showing the problem. This helps us investigate and resolve the issue quickly.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers generally have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund, subject to the circumstances and applicable legal requirements. After this period, different remedies may apply, including repair or replacement.
We will not ask you to give up any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law.
7. WRONG OR MISSING ITEMS
If you receive an item that is different from what you ordered, or an item is missing from your order, please contact us at:
Please provide your order number and details of the problem.
We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.
8. DAMAGED GOODS
Please inspect your order when it arrives.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs of the damaged item and packaging where available.
We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
9. EXCHANGES
Where an item is not faulty and you simply wish to change it for another size, colour or variation, we may offer an exchange where the requested alternative is available.
Any voluntary exchange service offered by us is additional to your statutory consumer rights.
If an item is faulty, defective, incorrect or not as described, your statutory rights will apply and you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances.
10. ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM THE STATUTORY RIGHT TO CANCEL
Certain types of goods may be excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right under UK law.
Examples can include:
goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken; and
certain other goods or contracts specifically excluded by law.
These exclusions apply only where the relevant legal requirements are satisfied.
They do not remove your statutory rights where goods are faulty, defective, misdescribed or otherwise fail to comply with the law.
11. PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN OPENED
For change-of-mind returns, you may inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop.
However, if you handle the goods beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality, and this causes a reduction in value, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund where permitted by law.
Some sealed products may be excluded from cancellation rights once their protective seal has been broken where the law permits such an exclusion, particularly for health or hygiene reasons.
12. PROOF OF PURCHASE
We may ask you to provide reasonable evidence that you purchased the goods from us.
This could include:
your order confirmation;
order number;
receipt;
email confirmation;
payment record; or
other reasonable evidence of purchase.
13. HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN OR REFUND
To request a return, refund, cancellation or exchange, please contact us:
Email: info@sdmax.co.uk
Phone: 07903433159
Please provide:
Your full name;
Order number;
The item(s) you wish to return;
The reason for the return, where applicable; and
Photographs or other evidence where the item is damaged, faulty or incorrect.
We will provide you with the appropriate return instructions.
Please do not send goods back without contacting us first, as this may delay the processing of your return.
14. RETURN ADDRESS
Unless otherwise instructed by our customer service team, returns should be sent to:
SDMAX
Unit 6, 59B Derby Street
Manchester
M8 8HW
United Kingdom
Please ensure that you package the goods appropriately to prevent damage during return transportation.
15. REFUND PROCESSING
Once returned goods have been received, we may inspect them to establish their condition and verify the reason for the return.
Where a refund is due, we will process it in accordance with this policy and applicable UK law.
The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may also depend on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.
16. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS
This policy is not intended to restrict, exclude or replace any rights you have under UK consumer law.
We will not refuse a legitimate statutory remedy simply because a return falls outside our voluntary returns policy.
Where there is a conflict between this policy and mandatory consumer protection legislation, the applicable law will take precedence.
